Giant bronze statue moves to permanent home at Cockfield Hall in Yoxford, off A12

A giant bronze statue which took four years to complete is making a move to its new permanent home in Suffolk.

The 'Yoxman', a 26ft tall and eight tonne figurine, is today being placed next to the A12 near Cockfield Hall in Yoxford.

The sculpture's move comes as part of a rewilding scheme in the area.

In an interview with BBC Look East earlier today Laurence Edwards, the sculpture's creator, said he felt 'emotional' at the sight of seeing his work being put into place.

"I've been waiting for this for four years," he said.

"It's been a very emotional moment to be honest, it's really quite incredible.

"A 300 tonne crane turned up this morning and has dwarfed this 26ft giant, so I'm feeling a bit peeved."
