Investigation launched after shop raider wearing Guy Fawkes mask and armed with crowbar assaults staff member at Norwich Road store in Lowestoft




An investigation has been launched after a shop raider wearing a mask and armed with a crowbar assaulted a staff member in a town.

An unknown suspect wearing a Guy Fawkes mask entered a convenience store in Norwich Road, Lowestoft, at 7.10am on September 27.

The raider smashed stock and fittings worth £2,500 before assaulting a member of staff who suffered a minor injury.

The suspect is described as male, wearing a plain, possibly dark blue tracksuit, with a white stripe on the legs, and wearing dark trainers with a loop at the rear and a distinctive mask.

An investigation is under way and detectives ask anyone with information that could assist the inquiry, to contact Suffolk Police quoting crime reference 37/55103/24 via the website.
