Ryan Leggett, of Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville, near Lowestoft, charged with attempted murder after woman suffers multiple stab wounds




A 34-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was left with multiple stab wounds.

The incident was between 1am and 2am on Saturday, November 23 at an address in Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville.

Police were called at about 2.10am and arrived at the scene within a matter of minutes, with ambulance crews also in attendance.

A woman in her 30s suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.

Her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

Officers began enquiries to locate the suspect, who is known to the woman.

Ryan Leggett, of Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville, was arrested at 7pm on Saturday and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He was charged with attempted murder as well as threatening a person with a knife in private place, in respect of another victim (a teenage child).

Leggett was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court today.
