Suffolk emergency services confirm death of man, 42, found inside Lowestoft Wetherspoons




A man in his 40s, who was found on the floor of a Wetherspoons pub in Lowestoft , has died.

East of England Ambulance Service was called alongside police and fire services at around 6.30pm last night to the Joseph Conrad in Station Square.

The unnamed man, aged 42, was discovered in the toilets by pub staff. Wetherspoons has confirmed the death and Suffolk Constabulary is not treating it as suspicious.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "(We) responded to an emergency call shortly before 6.30pm regarding an incident at the Joseph Conrad pub.

"We sent an ambulance, two rapid response cars and an air ambulance to the scene.

"Sadly, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the patient died at the scene."
