Man arrested in Lowestoft after brandishing hammer at police officer

A man has been arrested after brandishing a hammer at a police officer in Lowestoft.

The incident happened on Friday evening when an officer spoke to the man who became angry.

The man then pulled out a hammer, made threats and ran off.

He was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and taken to the Police Investigation Centre.
