Woman left with cut and bruises after man punches her near bus station on Lowestoft's Gordon Road




A woman was left with bruises on her face and a cut on her lip after a man punched her before jogging away in Lowestoft last month.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault, which happened in Gordon Road at about 4pm on Friday, June 25, on the opposite side of the road to the bus station entrance.

The victim, who is in her 40s, was sitting on a wall when a man approached her and punched her in the side of the face.

He then jogged off towards Clapham Road South.

The woman was left with bruises to the side of her mouth and a small cut above the lip. The attack also caused a tooth cap to fall out.

The suspect is described as white, of slim build and about 6ft tall.

He is believed to have been wearing a black padded jacket with the hood up and white football/sport shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lowestoft Neighbourhood Response Team on 101, quoting reference 34038/21.
