The victim fell to the ground, before he was allegedly threatened with a claw hammer by the suspect.

The suspect then made several failed attempts to start the vehicle, before fleeing with the victim's keys.

Officers then chased the suspect on foot, eventually arresting him on suspicion of robbery at the Britten Shopping Centre minutes later.

Lawson has been remanded in custody pending an appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday June, 9.
