Man taken to hospital with broken jaw after altercation at Lowestoft park




A man suffered a broken jaw after an altercation at a Lowestoft park at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the serious assault at Bleach Park in Oulton Road on Saturday at about 2.30pm.

Officers said after an altercation involving a number of children, an older youth punched the father of one of the children in the face.

The suspect then walked off in the direction of Water Lane.

The victim, a man in his 50s, suffered a broken jaw and was taken to hospital, as the injuries required surgical treatment.

The suspect is described as around 18 years of age, tall, with brown, curly hair short shaved at the back and sides. They were wearing a grey-coloured tracksuit.
