A motorcyclist suffered a broken leg after a serious crash on the A12 in Blythburgh.

Police officers were called yesterday evening around 10.10pm following reports of a collision at the junction with the A145, Halesworth Road.

A green Vauxhall Corsa driving southbound had collided with a Honda motorcycle heading northbound.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 20s, suffered a broken leg and was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Vauxhall was not injured in the crash.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was driving in the area at the relevant time and has dash-cam footage to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team on 101, quoting reference CAD 420 of June 23.
