Drink driver stopped on A12 at Kessingland, near Lowestoft, was allegedly driving while on provisional licence




A motorist who was stopped near Lowestoft has been arrested after allegedly drink-driving on a provisional licence.

Officers noticed a car driving in ‘an erratic manner’ on the A12 on Sunday before stopping it in Kessingland.

The driver was breath tested, returning a reading of 89 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 80 micrograms.

It was then found that the motorist was driving unsupervised while on a provisional licence .

They were then arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
