Firefighters called to Martins Avenue, Lowestoft, blaze where person is treated for smoke inhalation

Firefighters tackled an early morning blaze in the bedroom of a town home.

The fire service was alerted to the incident in Martins Avenue, Lowestoft, at 1.14am.

Crews from Lowestoft South were called to the scene.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze using hose reel jets.

A person was given first aid at the scene for the effects of breathing in smoke and was passed into the care of the ambulance service.

The incident was under control by 2.30am.
