Police hunt for robber who has gone missing from Suffolk prison




Police are hunting for a man convicted of arson and robbery who has gone missing from a Suffolk prison.

43-year-old Aldred Stanley (also known as Alfred Stanley) was found to be missing from Hollesley Bay prison around 3pm.

Initial enquiries have failed to locate Stanley.

Police say he is serving a 15-year sentence for arson, robbery along with offences related to conspiracy to steal and to commit burglary.

He is white, 5ft 10in tall, has a big build, with very short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos on both arms.

Stanley has connections to the Cambridgeshire area.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen him or anyone with information about where he is to contact police on 101.

Police say Stanley should not be approached by the public.
