Two men attempted to rob dog walker of pet in churchyard of St Margaret's Church, Lowestoft




Two men are being hunted by police after they attempted to rob a man of a dog while he walked in a Lowestoft churchyard.

Officers are seeking witnesses after the incident, which happened yesterday between 11pm and 11.30pm.

A man was walking his dog in the churchyard of St Margaret's Church when two men in a white transit van approached him.

One of the men from the transit grabbed the dog walker, and the other attempted to take the dog.

But the victim, in his 40s, managed to free himself and then ran off with his dog and both were unharmed.

There is no indication what breed of dog was involved and there are no further descriptions for the two suspects or the vehicle used.
