Police issue CCTV appeal after woman suffers stab wounds in Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville in suspected attempted murder




Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a woman suffered multiple stab wounds in a suspected attempted murder.

The incident was between 1am and 2am on Saturday, November 23 at an address in Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville.

Police were called at about 2.10am and ambulance crews attended.

The woman in her 30s suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital.

She has now been discharged but her recovery continues.

Officers began inquiries to locate the suspect.

Ryan Leggett, of Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville, was arrested at 7pm on Saturday, November 23 and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He was charged with attempted murder as well as threatening a person with a knife in private place, in respect of another victim (a teenage child).

Leggett appeared before Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 25 where he was remanded in custody pending a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, December 9.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who lives in, or was driving in the vicinity of, Lowestoft Road or the Dales Estate to review CCTV or dashcam footage from November 23, between 1am and 4pm.

Anyone who believes they have footage that may be relevant to the enquiry is asked to upload here.
