Police patrols begin at Gateway Retail Park in Pakefield, Lowestoft, following reports of erratic driving and antisocial behaviour




Lowestoft Police have begun to patrol the area surrounding a retail park in Lowestoft, after receiving numerous complaints.

Ongoing patrols are being carried out around Gateway Retail Park, Pakefield, following reports of erratic driving and antisocial behaviour during the night.

Patrol vehicles are set to remain present in the area throughout the week.

One Lowestoft resident said: "It’s such a shame that valuable resources have to be used to control such behaviour.

"Maybe some people need to grow up. Thank you to the police for all that is being done."

Many residents noted Asda car park and Kessingland bypass as other hotspots for this kind of activity.

One said: "They use Kessingland bypass as a racetrack - only a matter of time before there's an incident."

Police are asking anyone wishing to report an incident of antisocial behaviour online.
