Lowestoft covered in snow as weather warning put in place for Suffolk




Suffolk residents have woken up to see their town covered in snow.

Photos of the wintery scenes in Lowestoft were captured by resident Charlene Loader from her block of flats in Chapel Street.

A yellow weather warning from the Met Office is in place until midday as more snow and ice is expected for areas of Suffolk.

Last night temperatures in Suffolk dropped to -5C which is the coldest night the county has seen this year.

Forecasters have said roads and railways are likely to be affected by the cold weather and could cause disruption to travel.
