Yellow warnings for wind in Suffolk tomorrow may lead to travel disruption with gusts of up to 55 mph

Winds and coastal gales of up to 55 miles per hour are to be expected in Suffolk tomorrow, after the Met Office issued a Yellow weather warning for wind in the East of England.

The windy conditions are expected to develop early Friday morning with gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour expected widely, and up to 55 miles per hour in exposed coastal areas.

Winds will slowly ease later on in the day, with the warning is set to end at 6pm.

The Met Office have warned of disruption on the roads and said some bus and train services may be affected. Some homes and businesses may also face short term power loss.

Coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities are expected to be affected by spray and large waves, while fallen trees and damage to temporary outdoor structures is also possible.
