Teenage woman repeatedly punched in attack near Lowestoft's Railway Station on Denmark Road

Police are seeking witnesses after a woman was repeatedly punched in the head by another woman in Lowestoft last week.

Officers said a 19-year-old woman was stood outside the front of an end terrace house in Denmark Road on Thursday, June 16 when she was assaulted by a suspect at about 9.55pm.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said the female offender threw her to the floor and then punched her to the head.

"After the victim got back up, the suspect again punched her to the head and the victim cross the road to get away," he said.

"The suspect chased the victim, again punching the victim to the head before leaving the scene."

The victim was not seriously hurt in the attack.

Police want to speak to a man, wearing a white t-shirt, who can be seen on CCTV walking past the train station and stopping for a few seconds to watch, before walking off.
