Teenager punched in face as thieves steal bicycle in Lowestoft




A teenager was punched in the face as thieves stole his bicycle from him in Lowestoft last week.

Police said the robbery happened on Monday, October 5 at about 5.45pm when the teenager, who was outside McDonalds on London Road North, was approached by two people.

One of the suspects is said to have 'forcefully grabbed' the teenager's bike and punched him in the face before leaving in the direction of Bevan Street East.

The Calibre Bossnut bicycle is described as black, white and teal.

The two suspects are described as being 15 to 16 years old, around 5ft 8ins tall, and of skinny build.

At the time, one was wearing a long-sleeved black tracksuit and the other was wearing a long-sleeved blue tracksuit. Both had their hoods up and were wearing 'Covid masks'.

Officers are investigating and would like to hear from any members of the public who may have witnessed this incident.

Anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage, or anyone who may have seen the bicycle or have been offered it for sale is asked to contact Suffolk Police.
