Teenager stabbed in leg during group fight in St Peter's Street, Lowestoft




A teenager remains in hospital after he was stabbed during a fight in Lowestoft last night.

The victim was stabbed in the leg after a fight, which involved a group, broke out in St Peter's Street at around 10.40pm.

His attacker fled the scene, which was close to Boots pharmacy, while members of the public and emergency services assisted the victim, who is in his late teens.

He was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Great Yarmouth for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said the attack was 'likely to be targeted' and said those involved 'may be known to each other'.
