Tributes as firefighter dies after shift

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service have paid tribute to firefighter Rudie Mann, who died after a shift yesterday.
A fire and rescue service spokesman said: "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and close colleagues of firefighter Rudie Mann, who passed away yesterday morning after a night shift on Red Watch.
"A respected and much loved colleague and friend to all. He will be deeply missed by everyone."
Despite the valiant efforts of his friends, colleagues and the East of England Ambulance Service, they were unable to save Mr Mann.
The firefighter had served at Lowestoft South Fire Station since joining Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service in September 2001.
