Woman arrested in Lowestoft after reported missing person case

A woman has been arrested in connection with a missing person case in Lowestoft earlier today.

At 9.22am, officers were called to reports a four-year-old boy went missing in Sands Lane.

After inquiries involving police, Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SulSAR) and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, officers found him safe and well in another county.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of wasting police time.

She was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where she remains.
