A woman has been charged after allegedly claiming to be a cleaner in order to carry out two burglaries in Lowestoft.

Aimee Hayward-Rutter, 26 of no fixed abode, was arrested on Wednesday June 8 following reports of two burglaries in the town.

The first, which took place on May 18 in Kirkley Cliff Road, saw a woman enter a property claiming to be a cleaner looking for work. A quantity of cash was then stolen.

Hayward-Rutter has subsequently been charged with two counts of burglary.

She appeared before Norwich Magistrates' Court yesterday where she was bailed to return to Ipswich Crown Court on July 7.
