Lowestoft Police appeal for witnesses after teenage girl is allegedly racially abused in Yarmouth Road
A teenage girl allegedly had a brick thrown at her and was subjected to racist abuse by a group of youths in Lowestoft.
At around 4.15pm on Thursday, February 9, the victim was walking along a footpath near Yarmouth Road when a brick was thrown in her direction by a group of teenage boys.
She was then targeted with racial obscenities.
"Luckily the brick did not make contact with the female and the group made off very quickly," said a spokesperson for Lowestoft Police.
Police are keen to trace the group who are all described as being male, around 15-16 years old and were all wearing black tracksuits and black puffa type jackets.
One of the males had blonde hair and one had brown/dark hair.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to a similar incident, which took place in Station Square.
Three youths, all male, made homophobic comments to a woman before fleeing the scene.
