Shaz Begg, of Top G Wings, in Mildenhall, credits support of town after opening second branch in Norwich
The co-owner of a chicken wing restaurant has credited the support of a Suffolk town and its surrounding area after opening its second branch in a city.
Mildenhall men Shaz Begg and Paul Stannard opened Top G Wings in St Andrew’s Street in November 2023 and one year later it has now welcomed customers to its new premises in Norwich.
The second branch in St Augustine’s Gate opened for the first time on Thursday and the menu features chicken wings and strips, burgers, sides, ice creams, milkshakes and more.
Among the eight different flavours on offer are buffalo, honey chilli, garlic parmesan, naga chill, with vegan and further options available.
Mr Begg said: “What can I say? The Mildenhall branch has been an overwhelming success and that’s all thanks to my team and also the people of Mildenhall and the surrounding area.
“The support and returning customers is testament to the quality of food and service we are providing. What started off as a small business within a year has launched its second branch in Norwich, which is amazing.
“As we approach our first anniversary I want to say a massive thank you to all our customers. Without them none of this is possible.”
Top G Wings, which was recently paid a visit by a popular food critic with more than 900,000 Facebook followers, replaced the former Thai restaurant En-Thai-Sing in Mildenhall last year.
Alongside the new enterprise, Mr Begg owns Gandhi in Mildenhall, which is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in East Anglia under the ownership of one family.
