Willow Way Caravan Park, in Red Lodge near Mildenhall, park looking to expand use with 15 extra mobile home plans

A caravan park is looking to expand its use with plans for 15 extra mobile homes.

Michael Annis, of Monte Carlo Parks, has submitted a bid to West Suffolk Council to extend the use of Willow Way Caravan Park, in Turnpike Road, Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, to sit up to 55 caravans.

The park was initially given permission to be used as a caravan site in 1994 for up to 40 caravans.

A letter submitted on behalf of Mr Annis said permission should be granted as long as the extra carvans did not result in a material change of use of the site.

It said neighbouring amenity would not be affected and traffic would not result in a 'perceptible difference' to current activity.

A deadline for a decision set for June 5.
