The Last Leg host Adam Hills announces he's coming to Mildenhall on Sunday to 'stand in' for Matt Hancock

Australian comedian and host of The Last Leg, Adam Hills, said he will visit a Suffolk town this weekend to 'stand in' for Matt Hancock while he is in the jungle.

Airing his concerns over the West Suffolk MP's jungle jaunt last night, Mr Hills said he'd 'step up and help out' residents in Mildenhall, by setting up an impromptu surgery, and listen to their concerns.

The comedian, who has roots in the town, will set up a table in the marketplace on Sunday from 1pm, where anyone can chat with him.

Mr Hills said: "We've just faced an eye-watering Autumn statement and he's off earning £400k for eating a kangaroo penis.

"I'm stepping up. While he's in the jungle, I'm going to take over and help out the people in Mildenhall.

"Australia gets him - Mildenhall gets an Aussie. If anyone wants to bring their concerns to me, I'm going to try and fix stuff while he's away.

"I reckon I can do a better job in a week than he's done thus far."
