Mildenhall Police urge motorists not to travel as Suffolk roads extremely poor and flooded due to heavy rain





Police have warned motorists not to travel unless absolutely necessary due to flooding.

In a Mildenhall Police social media post, a spokesman said the continual heavy rain had left the road network extremely poor and flooded.

They said: “Do not travel unless absolutely necessary.

“If you do have to travel today, drive to arrive.

“Do not drive through heavily flooded areas.”

A yellow weather warning for rain in Suffolk remains in place until noon today with the potential for travel disruption and flooding.
