Mildenhall drink driver found slumped in car beside A14, near Stow cum Quy, with vehicle sticking out is banned

A drink driver, who was found slumped in his car beside the A14 with part of the vehicle sticking out into a live lane, has been disqualified from driving.

George Msipa, 37, was seen in his Mercedes parked beside the road at junction 35 near Stow cum Quy by officers at about 7am on Sunday, June 1.

Officers suspected he’d been drinking and a breath test found Msipa to be more than twice the legal limit.

Msipa, of Folley Road, Mildenhall, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Monday, June 2.

He was banned from driving for 40 months and ordered to pay a fine of £500.

PC Jack Taylor, who investigated, said: “Getting behind the wheel drunk and then deciding to park at the side of a major road was extremely dangerous and put himself, other drivers, and officers at risk.

“He will now spend a significant amount of time off the roads.”
