Brandon and Newmarket firefighters battle derelict outbuilding blaze at former school site in Mildenhall

Firefighters battled a blaze involving a derelict outbuilding at a former school site in Mildenhall.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at about 11.25pm yesterday to the incident, in Bury Road.

Two engines from Brandon and Newmarket attended.

A spokesperson said crews used a main firefighting hose to bring the blaze under control.

It was dealt with by 12.27am.
