Papa Johns in Mildenhall High Street could operate until midnight after application submitted to West Suffolk Council

A pizza restaurant in a town high street could operate until midnight after a licensing application was submitted to a council.

Papa Johns has put forward proposals to West Suffolk Council to change the opening hours of its branch at 13 High Street, Mildenhall.

The premises currently open from 11am to 11pm from Monday to Sunday, but the restaurant hopes to remain open one hour later every evening.

Applicant Bal Balwinder said the proposed changes are to cover a loss of sales and due to a rise in inflation as well as the prices of electricity and gas tripling since the store opened.

No other alterations would be planned for the store.

There are eight other Papa Johns restaurants in Suffolk.
