Fitness coach Kirsty Joanna delighted to bring back popular boot camp to Mildenhall
A passionate Suffolk fitness coach and International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFFB) bikini pro is delighted to bring her popular boot camp back to a town.
Kirsty Joanna, 34, launches her first session at the Jubilee Fields, in Mildenhall, tomorrow – more than a decade after first introducing her boot camp to the town, before it stopped due to the pandemic.
The personal trainer, who also lives in Mildenhall, started her boot camp the same month she graduated university in 2014, with the mission to show people they could push their body beyond what they believed.
“I’m really excited to bring my boot camp back as I’ve always been really passionate about helping people,” she said.
“A decade ago, I was just a girl who wanted to get her local community training and start a business.
“Since then, my career has evolved and I have grown into a professional athlete, but my love for the field has never left.
“Bringing the boot camp back is part of my identity really to help me connect with my roots, so I’m very proud to have it return.
“We are about to light up that field with the fun, laughter and enthusiasm like we never left.”
Kirsty, who won her IFFB professional card in October last year, has worked with clients and competitors for years and previously worked as a dance teacher for schools as well as helped with PE lessons.
Her new boot camp is for people of all fitness levels and runs for 45 mins. No membership is required and sessions cost £5.
They run at 6.15pm on a Tuesday and 9.15am on a Sunday.
Kirsty, who is a single mother with a daughter who is less than two years old, said: “I am a professional athlete, but I want everyone to feel included, no matter what their fitness level or experience.
“I want people to understand that everyone starts somewhere. I want to help people start and continue their journey to a fitter, stronger self.”
