LEARN MOREIn today's nostalgia we go back to the summer of 2003 when members of a cycling club in Mildenhall held a special celebration.
Mildenhall Cycling Club was marking its 50th anniversary which was set to be celebrated at its annual cycling festival and a special exhibition.
And the festival held over the August bank holiday weekend was to welcome home a very special guest in former member Victoria Pendleton, fresh from her silver medal-winning performance at the World Cycling Championships.
The daughter of club member, rally track organiser and former grass track champion Max Pendleton, Victoria, who went on to win Olympic cycling gold medals and a host of other titles, showed her star quality by easing to victory in the 800 metres scratch and 2000 metre races at the Mildenhall festival.
