A1101 near Mildenhall closed by Suffolk Police after lorry crashes into building




The A1101 near Mildenhall is closed after a lorry crashed into a building - with drivers set to face lengthy diversions for hours.

Suffolk Police were called at 6.07am after a lorry carrying straw bales crashed into an office in Icklingham, with paramedics and fire crews being dispatched to the scene shortly after.

Hundreds of litres of diesel has now spilled onto the road, with a significant clean up operation set to take place to make it safe.

Officers told Suffolk News this morning that the road is expected to be closed for a number of hours.

Drivers are now being diverted from the A1101 junction with the B1112. From the Fiveways roundabout cars are being sent along The Street and Lakenheath Road, The Street and West Street, Icklingham.
