Man in his 30s dies after fail to stop collision on A11 in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall
A man in his 30s has died following a collision on the A11.
Emergency services were called to the A11 southbound in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, yesterday at around 10.30pm following reports of an injured person in the road.
It was reported that a vehicle then collided with the person and the vehicle failed to stop.
The pedestrian died at the scene and Suffolk Police has launched an investigation.
The police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch quoting reference CAD 369 of September 23.
The road was closed in both directions for more than eight hours to allow for the investigation and the route reopened at 6.45am today.
Officers are also appealing for anyone with dash cam footage that may have captured the collision or the vehicles involved to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
