Mildenhall one-of-a-kind live-action experience, Escape from Fort Lagoon, offers fun for all the family
An immersive live-action experience in a Suffolk town will open its doors to visitors next month.
Escape from Fort Lagoon is a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience in Mildenhall that promises the excitement of an escape room with the thrills of Crystal Maze.
It uses app technology to take players on a game of cat and mouse along the banks of the River Lark, as groups work together to solve puzzles and find clues to escape.
Presented by Wake the Beast and Submersion Productions, and in collaboration with Marketplace - Creative People & Places, many community groups have been helping to bring the project to fruition.
Susie Batchelor, MarketPlace director, said: "We have been working with Adam and Jude at Wake the Beast and Submersion Productions since the start of this adventure when we helped co-design the production.
"We are delighted that local groups including Mildenhall Library craft group, Mildenhall Scouts, amateur dramatic society The Bunbury Players, Brandon Happy to Sing choir and others will be creating props, performing, singing and swimming.
"If you’d like to join as a singer or other volunteer, just let us know."
The experience is set in the future when water sources have exceeded the PH level safe for human consumption and water has become a rare commodity.
Organisers have said Escape from Fort Lagoon will have visitors laughing, thinking, and collaborating with their team.
Tickets are £12 plus a booking fee, with a percentage of the booking fee going to Surfers Against Sewage. Click here to book.
Visitors are advised to bring swimming gear and a towel, as it is a water-based activity. If you want to take part but don’t wish to swim, there are other options available.
