Crash on A11 in Barton Mills, near Mildenhall, sees person taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds




A person was taken to hospital after emergency services were alerted to a single vehicle crash on a key route.

Police, firefighters and the ambulance service were called to the incident on the A11 southbound in Barton Mills just after 7.20pm.

Both lanes were blocked but reopened at 8.50pm.

A police spokesperson said minor injuries were reported.

National Highways attended because of damage to the central reservation.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said an ambulance attended and a person was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.

A fire crew from Brandon and two from Newmarket attended to help with the casualty’s and scene safety.
