Plans submitted to demolish and replace two homes in Barton Mills, near Mildenhall

Plans have been submitted to a council for two homes in a village to be demolished and replaced.

The applicant, Mr B Warren of Ben Warren Properties Ltd, has lodged the plans with West Suffolk Council.

His proposal seeks to demolish two two-bedroom homes in Tuddenham Road, Barton Mills, near Mildenhall, and replace them with two new three-bedroom homes.

The houses, with one currently neglected, are surrounded by outbuildings, agricultural land and other houses.

It is the applicant’s ‘aspiration’ for the new development to be built in a sustainable manor, using eco-friendly and sustainably sourced materials.

A planning statement said the development will not harm the character and setting of the area which is located in the countryside.

The site is also not constrained by not being in a conservation area or in a flood risk zone.

Entry to the houses will remain the same.
