SuffolkNews Podcast: Burwell man charged in connection with three stabbings and taxi hit by flying vacuum in Out Westgate in Bury St Edmunds
In today's podcast, we have the news that a man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with three stabbings at a pub near Newmarket.
Jason Jones, 38, of Dalzells Lane in Burwell, appeared at Huntingdon Magistrates' Court on Saturday following the incident at The Fox pub in the village on Thursday evening.
Emergency services were called to the pub at 7.26pm and found three men who were suffering from stab wounds.
Mr Jones was charged with three counts of attempted murder. The case has been adjourned to Cambridge Crown Court on January 17.
Meanwhile, a man in his 30s has died following a single-vehicle crash near Wickhambrook.
Police were called to the scene on Saturday evening at 10.25pm and closed the road for several hours while investigations were carried out.
Anyone with information about the crash should contact Suffolk Police quoting incident number 342 of December 18.
A taxi was hit by a flying vacuum cleaner in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Suffolk Constabulary said the taxi was damaged in the incident in Out Westgate at about 3am on Saturday.
The cable, which was spread in the middle of the road, was caught by a passing taxi, which propelled the vacuum into the road and hit the vehicle, denting and scratching it.
