SuffolkNews podcast: Mildenhall Police attend crash outside RAF Lakenheath

On today's podcast, police were called to a crash near a US airbase.

In a tweet at 9.57pm yesterday, Mildenhall Police said a witness followed a car for some distance veering towards oncoming traffic.

The car collided with a traffic light, near to RAF Lakenheath.

A Haverhill father-of-two is absolutely delighted to have reached the UK’s Natural Strongest Man championship.

Dan Markham made it into the national contest after finishing second in a regional qualifier on Sunday in Atherstone, near Coventry.

The 37-year-old has been competing for over five years now and said that it was a difficult sport to climb up the ranks in, but was now cherishing reaching a new level.

And finally, it’s all change for a Bury St Edmunds café which has been taken over by a new owner.

Alex Rotherham took over Bay Tree Café two and half weeks ago and has completely revitalised the menu, cutting the number of dishes down and using locally produced Butterworth & Son coffee.

Alex, originally from Vancouver in Canada, had his own restaurant in his home city and worked as head chef at No. 4 Restaurant in Abbeygate Cinema for 11 years, helping to set up the eatery and designing the menu. After leaving the cinema last year he felt it was time to start his own venture.
