Suffolk’s first Pret A Manger opens at Barton Mills service station next to Fiveways Roundabout and A11, near Mildenhall
Suffolk’s first Pret A Manger has opened at a service station next to a major route and busy roundabout.
Motor Fuel Group Ltd (MFG) won planning permission in May for the single storey extension at the back of a service station in Barton Mills, near Mildenhall.
The sandwich chain store, which sits next to Fiveways Roundabout and the A11, welcomed customers for the first time today and has created 15 jobs.
Jack Tindall, head of operations at MFG, said: “We’re really excited with this being the first location in Suffolk.
“We’ve got a big expansion plan coming for the UK and are hoping to have some more stores coming to the county.
“Everything is made fresh in store every day and we now can’t wait for people to come here.”
Sam Otterburn, head of franchise at Pret A Manger, said: “With MFG, they are our second largest franchise and are really pioneering our growth.
“They’re bringing the brand in a really high quality way and we’re delighted with this new shop.”
The Pret A Manger will be open between 5am and 7pm from Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm on Saturdays, and 8am to 5pm on Sundays.
