Victim of Tuddenham crash near A14 named as Bury St Edmunds woman Rachael Bond




A file is being prepared for the coroner after a Bury St Edmunds woman died in a crash near the A14 in Tuddenham.

Forty-one-year-old Rachael Louise Bond died on Wednesday after she sustained injuries in the head on crash in Higham Road four days before.

She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, after the Mercedes hit a Ford Focus at around 2pm on February 6.

The other passenger in the Mercedes, a man, suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital.

A woman in the Ford was also taken to Addenbrooke's after she broke her ankle and damaged her spleen in the crash.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "Police are still appealing for witnesses and anyone who saw the collision of the manner of driving of any of the vehicles should contact Suffolk Police quoting CAD reference 192 of 6 February 2021."

A file is being prepared for the coroner, with the inquest set to be open and adjourned in due course.
