Unexploded mortar in Red Lodge sees bomb disposal squad called

A bomb disposal squad was called to deal with an unexploded mortar in a Suffolk village this afternoon.

Suffolk Police attended the incident in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall.

The 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal & Search Regiment carried out a controlled detonation within a police cordon.

In a tweet, Mildenhall Police published a video of the detonation.
