Top G Wings restaurant in Mildenhall town centre announces second branch opening in Norwich

An American-style chicken wing restaurant in a Suffolk town centre has announced it will be opening a second branch.

Top G Wings, which sits between Costa and B&M in Saint Andrew’s Street, Mildenhall, will be launching a new store in St Augustines Gate in Norwich.

Mildenhall men Shaz Begg and Paul Stannard opened Top G Wings in the town in November 2023 after it replaced the former Thai restaurant En-Thai-Sing.

Mr Begg said: “What a journey it’s been already. It has been a rollercoaster with ups and downs but the sacrifices and hard work pays off.

“Nothing has tested me more than this business venture but in the end it’s worth it.

“Thank you to everyone in Mildenhall for supporting the business and helping us grow.”

There is no exact date for the opening yet but Mr Begg hopes to open at the end of September.

He said: “I am super excited about opening a second branch. The support for the existing business has been overwhelming and it is our customers that has made it possible to expand the business.

“Norwich is one of my favourite cities. I have family and my closest friends there. I also went to art school there for my studies and lived in Norwich for five years during my studies.

“This food is very unique and new to Norwich - no one else does anything like it.”

Mr Begg also owns Gandhi in Mildenhall, which is one of the oldest Indian restaurants in East Anglia under the ownership of one family.
