Mildenhall woman handed community order after assaulting police during drink driving arrest
A woman has been handed a community order and a two-year driving ban after assaulting police officers while being arrested.
Klaudia Piricova, a 21-year-old from High Street, Mildenhall, was found by police on the evening of April 13, parked along the side of the A1101 Kingsway.
Roads teams were responding to reports of a drink driver travelling in a silver Volkswagen Golf.
Piricova assaulted two police officers on the scene, and subsequently failed a roadside breath test.
After being taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, she assaulted a third officer.
While in detention, she failed a second breath test, providing a sample of 89 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, which is just over twice the legal limit.
Piricova pleaded guilty to three counts of assault on an emergency worker and one count of driving with excess alcohol.
She was given a 12-month community order with a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, and has been disqualified from driving for two years.
In addition, she has been ordered to pay legal costs totalling £1,190.
