A14 reopens near Needham Market after man seriously injured in crash





The A14 has reopened after a man was serious injured in a crash earlier today.

Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A14 eastbound between Stowupland and Needham Market, near the A140 junction, at 6.42am.

Three ambulances, one ambulance officer and two air ambulances from Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance attended the scene, and the man was transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.

After the crash, one man was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving.

The road was closed and diversions were put in place.

However, Suffolk Police confirmed the route reopened at 3.16pm.
