A14 near Needham Market reopens after crash between two lorries and car with two people taken to hospital

The A14 has reopened after a multi-vehicle crash which saw two people taken to hospital.
One person was taken by land ambulance to Ipswich Hospital and other was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital after the crash involving two lorries and a car near Needham Market heading towards Coddenham at about 3.40pm.
Police, five fire crews as well as an air ambulance and land ambulance were called.
The road was closed both ways from junction 50 of the A1120, Stowupland to junction 51 of the A140 Kettle Lane, Needham Market.
At about 6.30pm, traffic was released westbound.
Just before 9pm, the eastbound reopened.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “Thank you for your patience. Have a safe onward journey.”
