Large police presence in Needham Market due to ‘ongoing investigation’

A large police presence which has been seen in a town today is due to an ‘ongoing investigation’.

Eyewitnesses have reported seeing several police vehicles and personnel in Needham Market this afternoon.

A police spokesperson said the presence was part of an ongoing investigation.

The Roads and Armed Policing Team (RAPT) have been present, however at no point have armed police been on the ground in the town, the spokesperson added.
