Vehicles stranded in Coddenham Road, Needham Market, after major flooding

A car and a van have been abandoned after trying to pass through flood water.

Coddenham Road in Needham Market, near Needham Lake, is blocked due to yesterday’s rainfall.

The road is a flooding hotspot as it was previously flooded during Storm Henk and Storm Babet.

A flood warning is in place for the River Gipping with areas most at risk including St Mary's Road, Hawks Mill Street, Crown Street, Coddenham Road, Pinecroft Way and Maitland Road.

The Environment Agency will be monitoring the situation and has urged people to take care on the roads.
