The Swan in Needham Market has fresh lick of paint as Greene King say pub has a 'bright future'

A temporarily closed pub in a Suffolk town has had a fresh lick of paint as owners have said it has a 'bright future'.

The Swan in Needham Market High Street, which is owned by beer giant Greene King, closed last summer with hopes it would reopen.

And yesterday, residents noticed the previously pink pub was being painted a fresh light blue colour.

A Greene King spokesperson said: "We're investing in The Swan at Needham Market as we believe it has a bright future at the heart of the local community.

"It's early days at the moment but we hope to have more good news to share in the near future."

In November, permission was granted for a porch extension, pergola and raised patio area at the pub.
